External Consultant - Veterinary and Medical Radiographer

Kane is a dual medical and veterinary radiographer who joined the University of Melbourne Veterinary School's Diagnostic Imaging team in 2012. During this time he started Equine CT in Australia, implemented the country's first dedicated 3T veterinary MRI service and tailored multi-phasic (Portosystemic shunt) and multi-region (Oncology and Trauma) CT studies for small animals.

In 2021, Kane completed his Masters of Magnetic Resonance Imaging with the University of Queensland.  The focus of his clinical research was on MRI of the Canine Hepatobiliary System and developing coronary artery MRI imaging of dogs with suspect R2A coronary artery anomalies.

Since 2022, Kane now works as a consultant radiographer offering imaging advice to veterinarians and vet practices in all aspect of diagnostic imaging. This is in conjunction to his single species work in the human (some may say dark side) medical imaging as lead MRI radiographer.
